Social Media Ambassador Program

In my role as the Social Media Specialist, I oversee the University’s Social Media Ambassador Program, a revamped and expanded version of our former social media internship. I helped transform the program into a more accessible, engaging opportunity that sparked student interest. Today, the program includes five ambassadors: two paid student employees and three internship‑credit positions.

Program Impact

Revamping the former two‑student internship into a five‑member ambassador team has had a meaningful impact on both our content strategy and student engagement. By expanding the program to include two paid student employees and three internship‑credit positions, I helped create a more accessible and appealing opportunity that sparked greater student interest. This restructuring strengthened our content pipeline and increased the volume of student‑generated content, giving our platforms a more authentic and diverse range of voices.
Through consistent coaching and supportive communication, the Ambassadors have grown significantly in their creative skills. From filming and editing to storytelling and on‑camera confidence, their contributions now play a key role in representing the student experience across our platforms. The program has evolved into a fun and collaborative space where students are excited to grow both creatively and professionally.
As of September 2026, multiple former Social Media Ambassadors have graduated and are working full-time in the marketing field!
